I liked Ira better but that's probably because I also have a huge crush on him. I don't have a huge crush on David but I like his stories. I wasn't sure what he would read and purposely didn't read the newest book so that I wouldn't endure a repeat.
In the end I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he is travelling on tour with nine new stories. He uses the readings as a mechanism to edit his stories before sending them in for publication. Each reading is different for this reason and I imagine the end of the tour is better than the start.
If you're craving a new Sedaris story, here's one from the current New Yorker. I can't wait till he's in the state again so that I can go to another show.
