Snowflake Ornaments

Today the kids and I attempted to make pipe cleaner/glue/glitter ornaments. Essentially we put waxed paper on 2 cookie sheets, made snowflake shapes, let the glue drip freely, and sprinkled them liberally with red glitter. I saw something similar on a tree at Wesley's school and thought "I can make those." Yeah. I need to take that sentence out of my vocabulary because it gets me in a lot of trouble at times.

Anyhow, when these dry we will know if it worked and if the glue forms a clear sparkly web around the pipe cleaners that we can hang on our tree. Plan B: foam ornament kit purchased today at Target.

Mario is up in New York today enjoying the good life...I miss him but am also enjoying the time with the kids. We enjoyed a coffee date this morning before he went to the airport which felt like a total treat. Sometimes being just one parent is easier :) but I will miss him if anyone wets the bed in the middle of the night.
