This morning we had a mother/daughter date to the zoo. We have not been over there in awhile so it was fun to her her new and improved four and a half year old explanations about why things are the way they are at the zoo. I also reminded myself that we need to be spending more afternoons over there just hanging out together instead of going nuts inside our home.
Today Clare got the better end of the dating deal. Wesley got stuck going to Wal-Mart to buy toilet paper with Mario.

My niece Clancy dressed like that until she was almost 10. I loved it because she wasn't self conscious and for the most part no one commented. It made me have fun looking for clothes for her because crazy socks, tights and shirts were the best.
Unless it's for family photos or a trip to the in laws it really doesn't matter. Especially with the clothes they push to preteen girls these days.
cute :) we have those same pants.
Oh and this morning, as I dropped Abigail off, I smiled and said,"she dressed herself." She did a fairly decent job though.
maybe sometime we can do a mama and big kid trip to the zoo. I'd love to let the big girls play there. (and it would be so much easier without the little ones)
