We packed a picnic, loaded it in the cooler, and then it started to rain.
Undeterred we drove out to
Sesquicentennial State Park, paid our $2/adult admission fee, and had a silly shelter picnic anyhow. They had plenty of empty shelters to pick from, dripping playground equipment, puddles to jump in, a lake to explore and lots of open space to use the umbrella.

Lunch: sandwiches, pretzels, strawberries, boiled peanuts,
pistachios, apples, and carrot sticks.

I opted to sit out for the wet playground equipment part of the trip. Here's a peek at my new linen apron skirt and the
tippy toe of my boot.
