This week (and part of last week) I experienced my first migraine headache. They are new to me and caught all of us off guard.
Frequent calls to the doctor, visits to the pharmacy, and regular life have left me wiped out. I think and hope we have found something to help with the pain but in the meantime I am
1. trying to stay in quiet places
2. avoiding all screens
3. avoiding reading
4. staying cool
5. flocking to dark rooms.
If you have any experience dealing with migraines and want to share, I'd love to know about it and how you treat them. The next step is a CT or relinquishing life to becoming a blind vampire on lots of drugs.

Are you still dealing with it? I've had migraines brought on by changing hormones when I was a kid and then when I was pregnant with Alex. Luckily, I haven't had enough to warrant migraine meds, I just waited it out in bed, in the dark. The last one I had, though, left me blind in one eye for one day and made me want to stick a knife in my head. I'm sorry you are going through that terrible pain.
So Sorry!!! They are awful! Avoid caffiene, sugars, chocolate, and fat (even avacado etc.... No fun, I know, but it WILL help you! Hope you feel better soon- thinking of you...
Oh girl, I'm so sorry! I was wondering what was going on in your world! Feel better prayers!
Sorry you are having those... They stink. Ask for Maxalt. It is the only med. that I can take that doesn't induce a hangover. It only works well if you take it at the first hint of a migraine (like when your vision gets funny versus when you think you are having a stroke or something).
